LatioSU-31 by Dekus LatioSU-31 by Dekus
The army has build an autonomous jet fighter inspired by minor legendary pokemon Latios. :D
Saw this exact image in my head last night at 03 AM - took my phone and sketched a quick scribble.

Photoshop CS6
Wacom Intuos 4
4 hours
Hand-painted with 2 brushes.
Some reference pics for Latios and some jet fighters.
Streamed entire process on my UST channel.

COFFIN, is a system that allows the pilot to see 360º inside the cockpit, and in the outside, it looks the plane is a drone! epic, isn't it :D? The early name, COFFIN, came because in the early concepts, the pilot would use the aircraft while lying down in the cockpit, and controling the plane with his neural system. If i remenber, AC2 and 3, had the most COFFIN aircraft in all games. You should try AC4 and 5 from the PS2! such a great story.. Check it up in Acepedia for more details! :D

Oooh cool!! :)
AC2 on PS1 only had one futuristic looking airplane as I remember. Maybe 2 at maximum.
Thanks for the info.

I always knew that Latios and Latias resembled Aerodynamic planes. But not in a big scale like this before

Latios/as were based off jet fighters.
