First of all, I'd like to shout out a huge Thanks to all of you who viewed my "The Legendary Meeting" painting!! Extra bonus points for those who commented!!
I never expected such numbers of comments, Favs and views!! I was truly amazed next morning after I submitted the picture. ..and it wasn't even anything special! Originally it was supposed to be just a 1-day speedpainting! Reddit.com post got even more comments.. damn.. O_O

Makes me want to do more!

In other news:

- I decided to freeze my Unity game project and concentrate on my final thesis for now
- I am doing my final thesis about "Efficient texturing using the Photoshop CS6 3D-tool" .. or something like that
- Playing Far Cry 3 at this moment.. It's damn good!! So damn beautiful and fun!
- I am also playing the new Sonic Generations game.. FINALLY they made a good (fix: great) Sonic game!! Its soo good!! and the music is awesome!
- Got to watch the last episodes of SaO..
- Watched Ore no Imouto.. Very nice. I'm such a Ruri-con xD There is a second season coming! yay!!
- Saw Kung-Fu Panda 2! My god... It was sooo goood!! Goes straight into my Top10 animated movies I've seen. The bad guy is very cool and elegant.
- Went to see Wreck-It Ralph for free. Thanks Disney and RocketPack!!! It was great! VERY good voice acting!! I was very impressed! and the story and graphics were good too!

Here's whats going on..

- I'm at the final year of my studies.
- I'll have to write a final thesis.. A little 30-70 page book about something related to my 3D studies.. solving some problem or something like that.
- I'm not sure what I'll write about though.. Maybe something about Efficient Pre-visualization.
- If I find a coder who knows 3D stuff and Unity or UDK = I'll do my game idea instead!

- Got myself the Adobe Production Premium CS6 pack.
- Beat RAGE game. It was very cool!! It's Bulletstorm - but without the humor. What should I play next?
- Tried out playing Dragon Nest. It's a free MMORPG.. Didn't like it very much. It's a dungeon crawler and VERY party oriented. If you're not in a party = It's going to be boring for you.

- Watched Raid Redemption recently.. Damn.. so good fight scenes and Very realistic deaths!! Blood everywhere.
- Evangelion 3.0 is coming!!! Or should i wait until 3.33? (I've watched 1.11 and 2.22... Never seen 1.0 or 2.0.. No idea what are the differences)

- Have to finish watching Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai - its awesome.
- I've heard that Ixion Saga DT is fun.. Maybe I'll watch that after Sword Art Online.

Heres whats been happening lately:


- Went to a week-long Digital Painting course at our institute.. did a bunch of paintings. Too bad like 90% of the class were complete newbies to Photoshop - so the teacher had to focus on the veery basics of Photoshop. But he did some speedpainting every day infront of class.. And i did learn one thing about transform tool that from now on i will use all the time. (see the paintings at my blog: [link]

- Beat Deus-Ex: Human Revolution! Awesome game!! Maybe the BEST game of this year! Alice comes down to 2nd place now i guess.. All the designs are soo what i am after! Its as if made for me! some top concept artists in the world worked on the game in Montreal.

- Started watching Hana yori Dango. First live action j-series that im watching. Its pretty funny.. The main girl reminds me a lot of Haruhi Suzumiya.

- Our game project at school is progressing! we got only about 7 full days to work on it! (not in order) Check out our game blog at: [link]

- I watched Metropolis (the Japanese 2001 version). It was pretty sweet. I didnt really like the stylized oldskool characters. But... the backgrounds were just amazing..

- Gotta watch TINTIN at the end of this year. Its like the Avatar of this year. I think it has the best CGI lighting ive seen so far. So damn realistic.

- Next games to play are: Dead Island, gotta finish GTA IV, gotta finish Crysis 2 DX11 version, gotta finish Dead Space 2 sometime.. Skyrim when it comes out.. oh and RAGE.

-Next movies to watch: Karigurashi no Arrietty, Gundam: A wakening of the Trailblazer, Tintin.

Heres whats going on:

- Got a new phone. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc! I absolutely LOVE it! Best phone in the world!! So fast, so smooth, so good! The camera is just amazing.
- Watching Gundam-00. Its good! Top quality animation.
- Next to watch: Madoka Magika and Nichijou.
- Went to see Transformers 3 in 3D! The opening sequence just blew my mind away.. the rest.. meh.. (in terms of 3d i mean) The movie was epic and pretty good.
- Saw Rio. It was ok.. very colorful!

- Got a lot of paintings waiting to be done! Recently been doing these long sessions.. like a month or longer. Where the hell did my speedpainting skills go!???
- Registered an account on CGHub. Holy shit its soo full of big names and professionals!
- Cant wait to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Many great concept artists worked on it and the design language is pretty close to what i like and am trying to pursue.
- School will start with a 3-month game project where some Pro game dudes will pick the best idea from what we have and our whole class will do it in Unreal engine. So i must start on pre-visualizing one of ~Cytron's idea now because i reeeaaaly want it to be picked as i think it has great potential and i want to be an Art Director again!!

Heres whats been happening:


- We have 1.5 months to finish the short movie project that were doing at school.. called Gold Rush.
- We still need to model some props like rocks, cliffs, cactuses, foliage... and of course texture all them and the main characters.. Gonna be damn tight schedule
- Playing Crysis 2 lately.. Its pretty good! At first i didnt quite like it, it was very console-ish.. but after tweaking the graphics and the controls i got it to look and feel more like the 1st Crysis.. wich is one of the best games i have ever played.
- Watched Beyond the Clouds, The Promised Place.. 2nd time.. Damn beautiful movie.
- Now watching K-On! Its super funny and the animations are amazing! Haruhi quality!
- I think im gonna get myself a LG Optimus 2X in Summer.. Its the first Dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual Core smarthphone.. on Android 2.2/2.3... should be pretty cool i think.
- Watched Macross Plus Movie Edition.. Daaamn.... Straight to the top 10 anime movies ive seen!!
- Watched Macross: Do You Remember Love. Damn good too!
- Played Bulletstorm. It was soo colorful and sooo Epic!! Super fun game!
- Recently been playing Dead Space 2.. but Crysis 2 took all the time from it now
- Playing the good 'ol American McGee's Alice on my tablet pc... Again!
- Watched Tangled! Also very colorful movie! And Rapunzel is soo cute and hot! and i love girls with long hair!

Here's whats been going on lately...

- Went to After Effects CS5 course at school. The teacher was just another student so it was super relaxed and cool course. You can see the end task at my youtube page or straight from this link: [link]
- We had a 2 week character animation basics course. I am going to put a collab of most animations to youtube.
- I watched Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22. 2.22 You can (Not) Advance is one of THE best things i have ever seen in my entire life.
- I've watched GI-Joe. Bad movie.. so many unlogical stuff, bad shaders on 3d models, bad acting and so on.
- Watched The Book of Eli. Nice! One of the most realistic gun fire and ricochet i've seen. But the very end was weird.. the main hero killed everyone for good sake. He had a point.. but the girl just wants revenge and goes to kill everyone.
- Next to see: Cargo, Social Network, BATON, Evangelion Death and Rebirth, End of Evangelion...
- Now we are having a skinning and facial animation with morphs -course.
- Got my H-Point and Cosmic Motors books!!! So awesome.
- I am getting myself a tablet pc. More particularly, Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 (Core2Duo 8600,4Gb DDR3, 500Gb, extra battery for up to 9 hours of battery life, 13.5 inch wacom pen enabled tablet screen with 256 pressure levels, wacom pen, Outdoor screen) for about 850 USD. So expect totally new paintings from me!! painted from real life and nature!

- I think im getting better at rendering and designing cars yay!
- During summer break (with the help of my new workstation supercomputer) i am going to draw and do 3d non stop.. and of course, stream live streams quite often!

Update on whats going on..

- Seen Alice in 3D.. Nothing special.. the story was all weird and unlogical.. the 3d effect was minimal
- Got FF13.. playing it time to time.. and loving it.
- Our 3d team is on game graphics course right now.. and were doing our final task for the course now.. we are using the free Unreal Development Kit editor and modeling in 3dsmax. Im doing the sci-fi level that ive shown pics of here on DA.
- Next movie to see is Clash of the Titans in 3D
- Im gona buy a desktop workstation pc some time soon i guess.. i have narrowed down my choices to two:

- I saw Surrogates.. its was ok movie.. nothing epic..
- Going to see UP in 3D on 09.10. Im very exited to see it!! Pixar claims its their best movie so far..
- School is going fine.. right now were having a 2 week course on graphic design.. we've been drawing fonts letters and so on...

- Ive watched whole Casshern Sins finally.. and i LOVED it.. One of the best anime ive seen.. seriously.. some of the episodes actually made me cry.. its so dramatic.. so stylized.. so cool... amazing anime.
- Ive seen 2nd season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.. and also loved it.. (its just 14 episodes.. right?)
- Next to see are: Potemayo, Shakugan no Shana, Genshiken, KARAS and Ghost Hound..

Heres whats been happening lately..

- Watching Casshern Sins anime.. Its so stylized and cool!! Awesome anime.. one of the episodes actually almost made me cry at the end!
- Watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2nd season episodes as they come from [a.f.k.] group
- Playing Touhou 12: Unidentified Fantastic Object.. This is Much better than SA! The music, characters and artwork have gotten So much better! But its as hard as SA.. i cant beat the stage 5 boss on easy!! i was sooo close to beating her 2 times already.. but at the end we both died on both tries.. lol
- My work at Sodexo ends today because im starting studies. (see below)
- I've gotten into the Metropolia school of art and design!!! I will be studying 3D-Visualization and Animation for the next 4 years now!!! Starting on Monday 31.08!
- Im gonna 3D model pretty much all of my concept cars! And maybe some other spaceships and stuff..

- Maybe i'll be going to France.. to Freestyle Slalom skating World Cup
- Waiting for the answers from local Design institute about whether i got in the 3D visualization line in there...

- Got invitation to local Art and Design institute exams on two subjects: 3D visualization and Industrial Design... Wich one to choose? (theyr both on the same days so i gotta choose one)
- Gonna see Star Trek premiere on the big screen today!! Very exited! I have high expectations about it..
- Joined a Red Alert 3 mod group.. Blue January as a concept artist.
- Doing concept art for ~Cytron's vertical shooter game: Zeidag 7
- Got a haircut
- Didnt get any job/summer job (at least yet..)
-  Watched Golden Boy (funny).. now watching Ouran High School Host Club (pretty funny) and Lucky Star (very funny)... after them gotta watch Ghost Hound until the end... then i'll watch Rizelmine and Rosario to Vampire... uhh.. so much anime to watch..
- Still havent beaten completely any Touhou game but Scarlet Weather Rhapsody and Imperishable Night.. Damn.. theyr soo hard.. even on Easy..

EDIT: Yesterday another exam invitation came... from Lahti polytechnic design institute... even when i completely left undone one advance task for the exam! o_0

- Seen Wall-E (Very nice)
- Watched remaining episodes of GTO (very funny anime)
- Watched remaining episodes of Midori no Hibi
- Went to Assebly -08 (it was very fun and interesting)
- Seen the Journey to the center of the Earth 3D movie.. (movie sucks but the 3D technology was neat)
- Got myself a Star filter for camera
- LOST MY PHONE!! (Fuuuu*k!! I had tons, TONS of photos of me, ALL my friends, all kinds of places ive been.. everything! + videos from army!, school.. every place! + a Gb of music!) All gone!
- Now im using my old Nokia 6630
- Lately been going to school/institute.. to become a Media Assistant. We do all kinds of stuff there like shooting video clips, editing them, photography, web design, drawing and so on..

Sorry for not being active on DA.. i just dont know why.. but recently im just not into drawing.. its totally strange.. i sorta feel like i need to draw.. but when i think of the whole process of drawing/painting i instantly loose all interest.. freakin annoying!

The army is over... like two or three weeks ago.. and heres what ive done after it:

- Went to Russia for a week (took about 600 photos)
- Been in Tallinn for one day (took about 200 photos)
- Drawn the Jaguar XS-Type while in Russia
- Got my Powerslide Cell FSK skates that i bought from London
- Been practicing Freestyle Slalom Skating for about 5 days now
- Contacted the best Slalom Skaters in Finland to practice with them some day
- Bought Assembly '08 ticket
- Seen The Dark Knight
- Seen Hancock

What awaits me in the future:

- More Freestyle Slalom practicing
- Must see Wall-E
- Must see Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea
- Gotta watch remaining episodes of GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka)
- Gotta watch remaining episodes of Midori no Hibi
- Cant wait for the 3rd season of School Rumble (someone said that it may come this years autumn.
- Going to Assembly '08
- Theres a high possibility that im going to one Art school in Lohja and live in there until the end of this year. (means non-stop drawing and painting)

Havent been very active on the web lately... sorry... been in army you know... and on vacations, im usually too lazy to draw or do anything but watch movies and eat at McDonald's..

I still got only 30 days of army.. starting of Friday, were going to the "Lambda" the end war. A 12-13 day "war" against other Finnish army. Were going to use some laser system that uses a space satellite. Until now were been using some kind of Saab training systems laser systems to simulate your gun firing and hitting someone.

On next vacation, ive gotta see Indiana Jones (maybe), Speed Racer, and Hulk. Also i thought of visiting the Assembly '08 In Helsinki Hartwall Arena. Its a very cool Demoscene/game gathering that ive always wanted to visit. Demoscenes are so damn cool..

By the way, ive planned to buy a Fisheye lens for my Nikon after army.. so expect new, cool photos!

Back from Army for a few days...
We have been doing all kinds of stuff.. marching, setting mines, firing our guns, throwing grenades, cleaning stuff... next week well be camping for 4 days.. its the worst.. camping.. everybody hates it.. its almost 24 hours of non stop service.. no free time and if you are lucky, you might get 4-5 hours of sleep

So i wont draw or take photos for a week.. sorry..
I just hope i will survive...

Been drawing more traditional media lately.. but still not enough!

* I was at the X-Treme Auto Show '07 in Helsinki. It was super. I was standing 5m from West Coast Customs's Big Dane. I Almost got his signature... only 5 guys were infront of me. He gave his signatures to something like 20 people only. Also he did RC drifting.
I have pics and video, including his interview.

* I bought there a Toyota Supra toy model 1:24

* And an Offical WestCoast Customs sweatshirt!

* I played NFS: ProStreet there! Very cool! When it comes out, im gonna buy it and proper steering wheel with pedals. oh wait...... is it coming to PC??!

* I need to draw more! A LOT more! dammit..

* I thought of getting a FinalFantasy poster. The bigger, the better. Especially i want a FF13 poster of the female character. the biggest ive found is 22 inches and located in Japan, Osaka.

* hmm.. what else..? Nothing is really happening in my life right now.. pretty boring...
